Music has been proven to be such a useful tool for improving mental health and processing emotions. I know that for me, music is such an important part of my life and I find that the perfect song can drastically change my mood in seconds.
During quarantine, there were a lot of times I felt the need to 'escape' for even just a few minutes. These are the artists that got me through, cheered me up, and the songs that I will forever associate with this strange, sad period of life.
1) 'The Corner' by Dermot Kennedy.
For something really stunning, listen to the 'Lost In The Soft Lights Session'. I cannot count the amount of times I have listened to this song these past months.
2) 'Blood Bank' by Bon Iver
3) 'Isla' by Toby Johnson
4) 'The List' by Maisie Peters
5) 'Falling Asleep At The Wheel' by Holly Humberstone
6) 'St Ives' Charlie Straw
7) 'Roses' by Lewis Watson
Happy listening! Hope these songs bring you as much joy as they did me. Let me know the tunes that got you through lockdown!
